Few aspiring filmmakers jump straight to a making a feature film. Instead, they hone their craft by creating countless short films, enduring ultra-low budgets and scavenging for resources. It’s through this guerilla process that great storytellers learn to adapt to restrictions and nurture their cinematic style. From established auteurs like Jeff Nichols to indie mavericks like Rebecca Green, come experience the UNCSA student shorts that launched the careers of North Carolina’s most- notable local filmmakers.
‘What I loved about School of the Arts was that there was a set budget of what you had to spend for each production. Everyone had to obey that and everyone had to operate under that. It prepared me a little bit more for what we were up against with independent films.’ – DANNY MCBRIDE
This event is a fundraiser for the fourth year film students and 50% of ticket sales will go towards their Los Angeles Networking Tour.
