our thoughts

Not many documentaries can say they had as direct of an impact on their subject as Blackfish did with the eventual collapse of SeaWorld. Those of us who grew up in SeaWorld’s heyday can’t help but wince at the images of a shark’s worst enemy performing tricks like a circus animal (which is a whole other conversation). It’s truly one of the biggest documentaries to emerge from the last decade and is a classic as a result of its cultural impression.
