Starting Tuesdays on September 24th from 4:30 to 6:30 until November 19th (Please note, this date has been changed and was formerly Thursdays, September 26th).

311 W. 4th St. Winston-Salem, NC 27101

Feminist Film Theory.

We begin with Laura Mulvey’s concept of The Male Gaze across the history of cinema and visual media eventually landing around an intersectional understanding of how different kinds 0f women have been maligned by the Hollywood enterprise.

Visual Media Literacy.

In a busy world constantly bombarding us with visual stimulation, it’s important as ever to understand how images have a pointed effect on the way we think and feel.

Interactive lessons.

Students will be tasked with interactive ways of understanding feminism in film and visual media through their own cameras, social media feeds, and video content.
